You Tarte

I'm on an all organic kick. The idea of beautifying myself both inside and out really appeals to me on many levels. It is with this in mind that I continue looking into all natural makeup and skin care, which brings me to Tarte - an all natural cosmetic line that has some amazing blushes.

I've always loved the look of flushed cheeks, and I tend to apply blush liberally, not only because I feel it makes me look more vibrant and fresh faced, but because most cheek colors fade rather quickly. The benefit of using an all natural makeup is that by wearing it, you will be hydrating and protecting your skin.

Tarte's blush is made with Amazonian clay, which helps to control oily areas and hydrate drier areas. The result is that the blush wears longer and the color stays true. This line has many fun shades to choose from, some of my favorites are; exposed, (a soft nude tone), blushing bride(a plummy rose), dollface (a light pink) and peaceful (a soft, nude peach). Apply this blush with MAC #129 blush brush starting at the middle of the ear/hairline. Brush forwards directly onto the cheekbone and curve slightly onto the apples of your cheeks. You won't need much of this blush on your brush since it's highly pigmented, but a little extra never hurts. If you plan on wearing a brighter cheek look, wear a soft nude lip color and a lighter eye to balance the look.

Give it a try and let me know what you think!
